Rita Ora is a British musician and singer from the UK. Rita Sahatciu Ora was a British singer-songwriter who was born to Vera Bajraktari and Besnik Sahatciu in Pristina, Kosovo in 1990. Besim Sahatciu is the granddaughter of her mother. Her family relocated to United Kingdom at age 1. She was born in West London. She attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court. After that she graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School followed by St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She started singing at a young age. In 2004, she was featured in the British film Spivs. The film featured her audition for Eurovision: Your Country Needs You which was a British contestant for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. However, she pulled out of the contest after only few shows because she did not feel confident enough. In 2007 Ora got her first music release when she appeared on the track of Craig David titled "Awkward" and later in 2008 with "Where's Your Love" with Tinchy Stryder, for which she is also featured in the music video. Ora began to sing in bars around London. A few days after, Ora flew to New York to meet Jay-Z An A&R representative informed Roc Nation about Ora. In 2009, Ora made a cameo on Jay-Z's music video for "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z was impressed by Ora's talent and kindly signed the singer to Roc Nation. In which Ora was featured in a commercial promoting Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. The singer began her singing career in the same pub her father, Besnik, was a pub owner. Counts Gwen Stefani as a major influence on her manner of speaking and No Doubt's "Don't Speak" (1996) as one of her top songs.Her 2016 video for Tezenis, The Silk Code, is the title of a novel that received the Locus Award for Best First Science Fiction Novel of 1999.She was thought of to play Iris West in Justice League (2017) prior to the time that Kiersey Clemons was selected.
